South West Youth Dance Network Sponsored By Dance South West
The South West Youth Dance Network (SWYDN) connects up young people across the region, giving you the chance to share experiences, learn about regional and national opportunities, support one another and receive advice and guidance about progressing your dance career to the next level.
The SWYDN is co-ordinated by a motivated and enthusiastic core group of young people aged 16-19, representing each county and city in the South West. These young people act as ambassadors for youth dance in the South West region, helping to inspire, motivate and communicate information to other young people in their area.
Members of the forum devise their own activity programme which includes residential weekends, workshops with professional artists, social networking, fundraising, event management. In addition they receive one to one mentoring to support their professional development, including the option to work towards their Gold Arts Award.
